Group sessions in Practice Better let you schedule and manage classes or group appointments with ease. You can create a group service (with name, fee, and enrollment limits), set recurring availability, share registration links, and register clients individually or by tag. Sessions can be run online via Zoom or in person, and you can manage all attendees and details right from your calendar.

Can I host webinars or workshops through the platform?

Yes, you can host webinars or workshops in Practice Better using group sessions. Simply create a group service, set fees and enrollment limits, and share registration links. Sessions can be run virtually by linking Zoom or held in person, making it easy to manage attendees and deliver workshops directly through the platform.

How many clients can join a group session?

Because group sessions are facilitated by our Zoom integration, the maximum number of participants is determined by your Zoom plan. Zoom’s limits are:

  • Basic & Pro: up to 100 participants
  • Business: up to 300 participants
  • Enterprise: up to 500 participants
  • Optional Add-ons: up to 500 or 1,000 participants
Does group scheduling integrate with Zoom?

Yes, group scheduling in Practice Better integrates seamlessly with Zoom. Just link your Zoom account in Settings > 3rd Party Integration and set it as your default telehealth option. When you schedule group sessions, Zoom links are automatically included in client confirmation emails, and you can even start instant meetings from the Messages page.

Can I charge for group sessions?

Can clients join from the mobile app?

Yes, clients can join group sessions from the Practice Better mobile app. They’ll first activate their account through the email invitation link (in a browser), set up a password, and then log into the app with those details to access the Client Portal and join sessions.

Are group chat and resources available during sessions?

Group chat and resources can be made available during sessions through programs. Clients enrolled are automatically added to the chat, which can be set up in a feed style (like social media) or as a direct chat. You control naming, privacy, and access, and clients can join from the program’s navigation bar or their messaging page

Can I run recurring group sessions?

Absolutely. On the Professional plan and above, you can set up recurring group sessions within fixed-date programs or use Group Session Availability to schedule them outside a program. Sessions can be managed from My Practice > My Programs, with options to update, cancel, or link them to packages as needed.

Do group sessions include attendance tracking?

Yes, group sessions in Practice Better include attendance tracking. New enrollments are automatically added, and you can mark sessions as confirmed on behalf of clients or let them confirm themselves. You can even hide attendance buttons for clients if you prefer—giving you flexible control over tracking.

How do group sessions support group programs?

Group sessions work seamlessly with group programs. Enrolled clients are automatically added to upcoming sessions, with options to auto-confirm attendance and send confirmation or reminder notifications. Sessions are private by default, making it easy to streamline participation and communication.
