A recap of every major product release at Practice Better — and why it matters for your practice.
Between client sessions, documentation, billing, and program building, there's rarely time to stay on top of every product update. But missing a feature that saves you two hours a week — or one that ends a workaround you've been living with — adds up.
Here's what launched in the third quarter of the year.
AI Charting Assistant turns your session recordings, dictation, or typed notes into a finished clinical note — and it now writes in your own style from the start. Show it how you document once — with an existing note, a pasted note, or a few plain-text instructions — and it builds a custom template that writes like you every time. Preview it against a real session before saving, and map different templates to different services, so intakes and follow-ups each get their own format. It cuts charting time in half, at a fraction of the cost of a standalone AI scribe, without ever leaving Practice Better.
Available as an add-on on all paid plans, with flexible tiers to fit practices of every size and budget.
Once enabled, AI Charting Assistant is available for telehealth sessions, in-person sessions, and dictation within Notes, Protocols, and Programs.

Cosigning lets a supervisor or other team member add their own timestamped signature to a note that a teammate has already signed, without reopening or altering the note. The signed PDF updates to show both signatures, and cosigned notes are marked in Notes History and the Incomplete & Unsigned Notes report.
Available on Team plans. Cosigning requires the Clients: Notes: Cosign permission. Team owners have it automatically, and other team members need it enabled in their role under My Team > Roles & Permissions.

If you're copying new client details into QuickBooks, adding subscribers to Mailchimp, or rebuilding a tracking spreadsheet every time someone books, that's time you're not getting back. Bridging the gap with an external tool may also put that data outside a HIPAA-compliant environment.
Connector Hub goes beyond Practice Better's existing one-off integrations — it's a full marketplace of automated, two-way workflows with the business tools you already use, built on HIPAA-compliant infrastructure. Add it to your plan, link the apps you already use, and your workflows run in the background. For example, a new client, a confirmed booking or package, or a program enrollment can trigger an action in the connected tool, no code required. Mailchimp, HubSpot, QuickBooks, and Xero also work in reverse, creating client records in Practice Better from new contacts there.
11 connectors are available now: Google Sheets, Mailchimp, Gmail, Google Docs, HubSpot, Xero, QuickBooks, Outlook, Salesforce, Excel, and OneDrive — each with its own set of automated workflows and guided setup. The list keeps growing — new connectors launch based on practitioner demand. One flat $49/month covers your entire team, available on Plus and Team plans. Some connectors also let each practitioner choose their own settings, like which Mailchimp audience their clients sync into.

Practice Better's Fitbit wearable integration now runs on the Google Health API, ahead of Google's retirement of the Fitbit API on October 30, 2026. Wearable data keeps syncing — "Fitbit" just appears as "Google Health" throughout the platform now. Clients who previously linked Fitbit will need to reconnect through Google Health from their Client Portal in Settings & Preferences > 3rd Party Integration; their existing history is retained. New clients connect through Google Health directly.
Gather the documents you need as part of the form itself, instead of chasing them down separately. The new File Upload element can be added to any form in Form Builder. Clients attach documents, photos, or files up to 10MB each right from the form — everything saves automatically to the form response and to their Documents section, ready when you need it.

Stop jumping between tabs to find a client's file. Open a client's Hub on the web portal and click Documents to view and download anything in their library, without leaving what you're already working on. And when you're writing a session note or protocol, attach a file straight from that client's Documents instead of uploading it again from your computer — it saves as an independent copy, so the original stays untouched. On the Team plan, this includes anything a teammate has uploaded, too.

Stripe stopped selling the WisePOS E — the terminal reader compatible with Practice Better Payments — on September 1. Its replacement, the Stripe Reader S710, orders, registers, and pairs with Practice Better in exactly the same way. Once paired, it displays invoice amounts, processes payments, and records transactions automatically — no manual entry needed. It accepts Google Pay, Apple Pay, tap, swipe, and chip-enabled cards.
Already have a WisePOS E? No action needed — it still works with Practice Better Payments.
